A very great master of Persian setar and instrumental radif repertoire, Ostad Saeed Hormozi (1897–1976), was born in one of the old regions of Tehran, called Sangalaj. The very great master of tar, setar and radif, Ostad Darvish Khan, was used to award his top and prominent students the medal of the "Golden hatchet".
