Goblet drums are played in many different styles. The Persian doumbek, aka tonbak, tombak, donbak, dombak or zarb, is played with the ten fingers of the both hands and finger snapping is one of its important characteristics. Other similar doumbek style is Turkish goblet drumming (darbouka or doumbelek), which employs finger snapping as well.
